I wanted to update everyone on our recording situation. We're over halfway thru. It's going great with the exception of a few setbacks. We did all of the tracking at Dark Horse Studios in Franklin, TN. This place was a gorgeous setting. The recording process was a little different, we did all of the music live, the lead vocal was live as well. This was a bit of a challenge but our producer (Rob Ickes) really wanted to do it this way. We trusted his judgement and we're all happy with the results. Live music just creates alot of energy and that's what we want with this recording. The vocal sessions (harmonies) were set for the week before Christmas. Jr. got sick and had to leave after the first day of recording. Randy was done also, so Rob Baker and I finished up what we could. Sonya Isaacs stopped by and sang on two songs with Rob and I. She is one of the best singers on Earth! She made those songs. We go back into the studio next week to finish with the vocals and mixing. Then we'll be done! We can't wait to get out and play in a few weeks out in southern California. Our hearts and prayers are with the folks up in the part of that state. We played in several towns affected by the flooding back in August. We'll update you after next weeks' sessions and let you know how they go.
