Hey Everyone,

Hope you all are doing well.  We recently returned from an interesting visit to Texas.  I’m sitting here with a bit of a sunburn that I received in the Lone star State.  The bottom half of my legs is really the only place that I feel it.  I’ll survive.  We got to see some friends that we’ve made over the past year or so, the Mobley family, Lynn, Celeste and the Tuckers.  These folks are some of the nicest people on Earth.  It is so good to go somewhere you’ve never been  and still see some familiar faces, it makes it a little easier to be away from home.

I would like to address something that has bugged me on more than one occasion because we’ve been confronted on more than one occasion regarding this issue.  This past weekend, just as it’s happened before, someone approached one of us and made a remark about our shirts being tucked in.  And this person wasn’t even the promoter.  Those of you that have seen us in person know that we rarely, if ever wear suits on stage.  To me, it’s about comfort more than anything.  I can’t for the life of me figure out why some people are so compelled to voice an obnoxious opinion on something so unimportant.  We may not be GQ men, but I think we look nice every time we go on stage.  With or without a suit and tie.  Besides, the bible says that Jesus states “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment”.  In other words, don’t worry about outward appearance.  Enough on that issue.

Good news regarding our CD, Somewhere Between, it’s climbed to number six on the Bluegrass Unlimited National Survey.  The song, It’s Raining the Blues is at number 18!  The CD also received the Highlight Review in the April issue.  A big thanks to all of the d.j.’s for playing our music.  This weekend we’re in Cookeville, TN, Milton, FL, and Claremont, GA.  Check our schedule out and come and see us when you can.  That’s all for now.

Take Care
