Hello Everyone,

We had a great time this past weekend in Owensboro Ky. at the Executive Inn Bluegrass Festival. The promoter of the event, Steve Chandler, engineered our first cd. Steve is a great guy as well as a great engineer. It was great to see him again. We played with Wildfire, Cherryholmes and J.D. Crowe and The New South. Wildfire is just full of great talent and a fun bunch of guys to be around. Cherryholmes is a family band that has enough talent for 5 or 6 bands. I encourage you to check out their show when you can. They can pick, sing and dance all at the same time and do it all very well. And of course, J.D. Crowe and The New South were awesome as usual. It's always a treat to get to hear J.D. play. J.D. and Earl Scruggs have made a huge impact on banjo players all over the world. But what impresses me most is his ability to always have a great band. I've seen him many times over the years and he always brings down the house. And he's just such nice guy; I love to just listen to him talk. Me, Tim and Jr. sat through his last set and Jr. went nuts (it was almost embarrassing). But we had a great time watching and visiting with all the bands.

We're headed to Texas this weekend and I'm sure Jr. will be sick of us before we get to Memphis. The trip is about 14 hours from home and our only entertainment in the van is the radio and Jr.. Jr. is much more entertaining than music, television, movies, sports,,,, you get the picture. He's a ton of fun. We'd love to video our trips together and sell them. I'm sure we could retire in about 3 months from the proceeds.

But on a more serious note, thanks for all your prayers for Jr.'s wife Janice. She's well on her way to a full recovery.

Come see us when you can.

God Bless!
