January 11, 2005
Hey Everyone,
Amazingly enough it’s 2005! Hard to believe but it’s here. For me, the countdown is on for spring. I’m not much on snow and cold after Christmas. I live in Ohio and it won’t get warm until late March or early April. The good thing is that we get to play down south a bunch this winter, so it should be warm at most of these dates. Check our schedule out, it’s updated often. Come and see us when you can.
The band is well and our schedule is shaping up to be a good year. The dates are really good events and should be a lot of fun meeting new people in new places. Bluegrass radio is being VERY supportive of our latest album and it is even showing up on some Americana play lists. Our new CD, “Somewhere Between” is available at www.amazon.com if you want to purchase online with your credit card or just give it a review.
This week we’re in LaGrange, GA with a bunch of our friends like The Isaacs, The Primitives and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. It’ll be good to catch up with these guys; I haven’t seen them for a while. This week will mark NFR’s 3rd anniversary! Hoofer’s Gospel Barn was our first concert and this week will be especially fun because we’re taking a fiddler out with us, he’s a great musician named Justin Moses. He’ll be playing some select dates with us this winter. We end the weekend in Asheville, NC at a concert hall called The Orange Peel. Should be a cool event, we’re there with The Steep Canyon Rangers.
Well, that’s all for now.
Take Care,
Tim S.
