Hello,
It sure was great to be on the road again. We've had just a few weeks off, but it's seemed like we've been out of commission for months. We left Friday evening to play a gospel concert in Lancaster, PA on Saturday. It was fun to get back in the van with all the guys. Rob must have missed JR immensely. He started in on JR like a horse fly on a bull as soon as we got in the van. It was great to hear some of the new crazy noises JR has come up with since we've been off. We really need to video some of our trips and post them on the web site to let y'all experience the madness.
We played with The Lewis Family and The Easter Brothers and had a great time. The Easter Brothers still sound great. Their harmony is tremendous and they've written so many great songs,,,, Well, I just wish I had their songwriting talent. The Lewis Family sounded better than I've ever heard them and little Roy was just a crazy as usual. He had a snowman outfit on and came out on stage with the Easter Brothers and started throwing Styrofoam snowballs at them while they were singing. The crowd really had a good laugh.
Tim Shelton just got a brand new hand crafted Edmonds guitar. I know he was excited to get it and the rest of us were almost as excited as he was. The guitar sounds as good as any I've ever heard. It plays great and the craftsmanship is superb. Thanks to John Bowman for introducing us to these new guitars.
Well, NFR has only one more gig this year in Jeykyll island, GA. We'll be there on New Years Eve. Please join us if you can. We'd sure love to have you. January 1st will begin NFR's 4th year together. I can't believe we've made it this long with someone getting kilt. God sure has blessed us in every way and we are truly thankful.
Until Next Time,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Tim C.
